Abstract

My experiments started with the preparation and numbering of the samples and then recorded on a Zeiss Stemi 2000-C stereo microscope at 50x magnification. In the continuation, hardness measurement was performed on a Wolpert 401 MVD Micro-Vickers hardness tester. Then, at 500x magnification, the tissue structure and particle size determination and EVO MA 15 SEM microscope composition analysis were determined by weight and atomic percent determination at 500x magnification. In my studies, I was looking for changes in the structure of aluminum oxide. During the experiments I followed two procedural steps. Using the values given by Bourns Ltd., my samples were crushed and fractured after 2 times on the fabric structure. My second study with the same sample was performed in the laboratory of the Technical Institute of the University of Dunaújváros according to the temperature parameters I set. When setting the temperature values, I tried to adjust the values used by Bourns Kft. The results show that in both studies the tissue structure does not differ significantly. Particle splits, shakes, holes and pores that characterize the structure of my samples can result from sintering. Agglomerates formed from a non-uniform grain structure may become voltage collecting spots, which may promote a brittle breaking of the product. All this is evidenced by the increase in hardness averages. Accordingly, the solutions are:  Creating a better adhesion boundary bond between Al2O3 particles.  Avoid contamination by chemical synthesis.  Preventing the breaking of ceramic particles.  Resolve particle groupings.  Reduce the number of cracks. This is mainly done using subtractive (submicron) powder, additives, molding and combustion processes resulting in pore-free products.  Preventing the spread of microfibre by transformation toughening. In this case, the micro cracking initiates phase transformation that inhibits cracking.
